Job Summary
Job Title: Village Relationship Officer Job Purpose Responsible for conducting village surveys, acquiring new customers, performing house verifications and income assessments, ensuring quality sourcing, and managing collections and recoveries according to group/centre meeting schedules. Maintain healthy customer relationships in the assigned location. Duties and Responsibilities Village Surveys: Conduct village surveys and prospect in selected areas, explaining BFL MFI JLG product offerings to attendees. Customer Acquisition: Source new customers in allocated locations, form Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), and promote financial literacy among potential borrowers. Data Management: Collect necessary information for sourcing, perform data entry/upload, and validate documents in the Loan Origination System (LOS), adhering to the defined SOPs. Coordination: Coordinate with the Branch Manager for required approvals and with the Credit Operations Officer for disbursements as per process. Center Meetings: Plan and schedule center meetings, ensuring 100% borrower participation. Address customer queries and promote top-ups/cross-sells as defined for the branch. Manage a portfolio of 450-500 customers. Collections: Ensure collections are conducted as per the scheduled center meeting days, achieving 100% recovery deposition at defined points as per SOP. End Use Monitoring: Conduct end-use monitoring of loans as per process guidelines. Relationship Management: Maintain cordial relationships with potential and existing borrowers, ensuring 100% compliance with SOPs and branch practices. Reporting: Create daily reports of tasks planned and executed, submitting them to the Branch Manager. Reconciliation: Ensure recovery disposition reconciliation is completed with the Credit and Operations Officer as per schedule. Performance Metrics: Ensure critical parameters such as lead-to-login are executed as per the established matrix. Meeting Discipline: Maintain discipline in center meetings and adhere to SOPs and the code of conduct. Major Challenges Achieving quality sourcing and targets as defined. Ensuring regular collections and maintaining customers in good standing, including regularizing delinquent accounts. Ensuring compliance with all business parameters, with zero audit findings in the sourced customer segment/portfolio.
