Description

Objective:

  • Compliance of Acts, Rules and Regulations related to Export and Import (Customs, Excise GST, Foreign Trade Policy allied acts)
  • Understand the Customer requirement and provide sustainable solutions in the area of import, Export, Customs & Foreign Trade
  • Complaint & Timely Custom Clearance of Import and Export Consignments
  • Effective Incentive Management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • CA / LL. B with Management /Supply Chain certification.

Experience: 10-12 years with Export-Import/ Supply chain Operations. Experience with a Law Firm or Consulting Firm would be preferred

Skill Sets:

  • Expert level understanding of customs, exports, imports procedures including working of DGFT, trade bodies and other allied regulations.
  • Working understanding of various legal procedures involved in Customs and Excise Litigations. (Drafting, Representation, Reply to SCN etc)
  • Ability to read and interpret policy, laws and rules and apply them in day to day operations.
  • Fair Knowledge of Financial Accounting entries relating incentives and Litigations
  • Good Knowledge of SAP order to cash processes along with working knowledge of applications in customs & foreign trade areas.

Job Role:

  • Ensure accuracy of all Import and Export Declarations filed in Customs.
  • Overall responsible for Custom Clearance of all Import-Export Shipments within stipulated time /targets (This includes FCL, LCL, Machinery, Air and Samples )
  • Ensuring all Statutory and Documentation compliance before the shipment arrival/ dispatch. (HSN, Valuation, Exemption notifications, FTA Benefits)
  • Maximizing Incentives for Imports and Exports. (Advance License, EPCG, Chapter 3 benefits, Excise Rebates, SAD Refunds etc)
  • Preparation of Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly MIS Reports for C&FT Operations.
  • Ensure Customs Compliance by timely Custom Query resolution.
  • Maintaining SVB Status for BIL .
  • Represent, reply and respond to Show Cause Notices / Demand Notices / Audit Queries from Customs and on-site audits.
  • Initiate Process Improvements within Imports-Exports by revisiting/redrafting the standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure sustainability of AEO Status by implementing Control Mechanisms and regular audits/checks.
  • To ensure team capability enhancement in C&FT/Import-Export Operations.
  • Take initiative and complete the Projects that are identified in Supply Chain which could also include Cross functional working with other functions or verticals within Supply Chain Operations
