Job Summary

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide oversight for capital management in the region.
  • Manage capital projects for Operations team from concept to design to implementation.
  • Provide technical support on any projects/equipment related issues including site wide Facilities projects.
  • Responsible for ongoing training and development of mechanics and electricians to improve maintenance reliability.
  • Ensure facilitys compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments are executed appropriately and on time.
  • Manage vendor relations to ensure all facility maintenance effectively adhere to site policies and procedures.
  • Work with peers to provide reliable and effective maintenance service to site.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and/or eliminate processes in Operations.
  • Maintain complete inventory of equipment. Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance schedules to ensure maximum reliability of equipment; and determine replacement, repair, and maintenance needs.
  • Manage engineering projects as required, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget. Act as manufacturing representative on large projects.
  • Provide internal customers with pertinent information regarding scheduling of repairs, project updates, calibration and PM status of equipment/instruments. Monitor reports of outstanding requests and set priorities on all pending requests and schedule activities accordingly.
  • Write purchase requests and obtain competitive bids on jobs performed by vendors.
  • Utilize 1PSS techniques to initiate process and standard work improvements.
  • Accountable for adherence of team to governmental rules and regulations as well as Bayer HSE initiatives and objectives to ensure worker safety.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years applicable experience.
  • 3+ years experience in project management.
  • Strong technical background including process design and startup.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems such as SAP or Maintenance Connection.
  • High Proficiency Level with Excel (macros), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lead and work cohesively as a team member; interacting and building positive working relationships within the organization and across other functional groups and departments.
  • Agility to support changes in a dynamic work environment demonstrating an innovative approach to problem solving.
