Job Objective
Supports the accurate, timely and qualitative development and execution of CSC s recruitment plan according to CSC processes and standards of BSM/SMCs, in order to provide a pool of seafarers that meet the quality and technical standards of BSM/SMCs. The key accountabilities for the position may be shared between several employees within the CSC.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform all administrative tasks and provide support to department members for the efficient and well-organised execution of the recruitment plan.
- Prepare candidates required documentation, such as medical certificates, encode medical data into the Crew PAL Personnel Management System, update medical records, etc., to assist the efficient pre-employment screening of seafarers.
- Prepare the required documentation to enable the timely travelling of crew to vessels. Monitor the accurate execution of all travelling operations and inform the FPD Marine Officer of any potential discrepancies.
- Insert data and records in the Crew PAL Personnel Management System and relevant databases, ensuring continuous coherence with crew changes.
- Provide guidance and assistance to assigned seafarer candidates contributing towards internal information sharing and coherence.
- Follow-up on the availability of ex-crew seafarers based on their DOA and schedules deployment.
- Coordinate the prompt and accurate implementation of legislative changes into the CSC procedures under the guidance of the Fleet Personnel Manager/CSC Director.
- Brief and debrief seafarers concerning employment conditions and vessel particulars and forward identified issues to the FPD Manager and relevant departments to facilitate the development of solutions.
- Assist in the proper and timely execution of embarkation and disembarkation of seafarers, preparing and providing all required documentation.
- Keep records of all necessary training courses per individual seafarer and communicate accordingly with participants to attend the course(s).
- Apply for Flag State Endorsement timely and accurately; check endorsement certificates; track Flag document trails, etc.
- Issue Crew Clothing and Safety Shoes to joiners, when/where applicable, as per Company standards.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Maritime or related field.
- Familiarity with maritime operations.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork and cooperation.
- Fluency in English.
- PC literacy.
