Job Summary
Zeta is a Banking as a Service (BaaS) platform for Banks (Issuers) and Banking partners (fintechs, neobanks, etc.). We are a technology company disrupting the world of payments and banking and our vision is to become the AWS of Banking. Our whole product offering not only allows partners to create products within 30-60 days (as against 12-18 months earlier) but also to administer them.
We have 4m+ customers with ~1m active users using our platform already and we recently demonstrated our payment processor s capability to take 1 million transactions per second.
Zeta has been founded by Bhavin Turakhia (CEO) and Ramki Gaddipati (CTO). While, Bhavin, who although needs no introduction, is a self-made billionaire and has previously founded Directi, Media.net, Flock, Radix, Ringo and CodeChef; Ramki is an exceptional but reluctant engineer who went on to build tech products before their time. What does Zeta do?
Zeta s platform accelerates the phenomenon of digitally native neo-banking, unbundling and re-bundling of banking and invisible payments. We have 3 major pieces today:
1. Tachyon - Tachyon is our underlying banking platform which powers everything. We provide card management services, payment engine, switch, and a full-fledged core in the form of APIs2. Fusion - Fusion is an API based BaaS offering to neobanks and fintechs to help build and support their products3. Cipher - Cipher is our second-factor authentication product that powers the OTP pages that you often come across while transacting on Amazon, Flipkart, etc. for card not present transactions. We recently showcased a capability of 1 million transactions per second

Payments, banking and finance is an extremely large space across the world with legacy competitors who are servicing them using antiquated technologies. With Zeta, we are building a suite of products at a scale and scope that has never been imagined before and that cut across many verticals in multiple spaces.
There are multiple multi-billion dollar enterprises in each of these segments. We believe that this is an opportunity to make a disproportionate impact on the world, create something meaningful and leave an unprecedented legacy behind.
With the kind of scale and scope of products that we are envisioning, Zeta is looking for rockstar Product Managers who can think from first principles and reimagine the world of payments and banking.
As a Senior Product Manager, you would be defining and leading the charter of some of our cutting-edge products working closely with the leadership and the rest of the Product team to discover, define, build and scale user offerings that are valuable, usable and feasible. Since each of these product lines is like a small startup within a startup that is competing with another player that is worth a billion dollars, we are looking for passionate hustlers who can not only drive the vision, mission, roadmap for the product but are also comfortable working in ambiguity and running the show.

What is the job like?
- This is a broad role where you would have to adapt to the fast-paced environment of a startup. We often find that the best candidates come with a deep understanding of Business, Technology and User Experience and work best under ambiguity with an uber calm head. Your roles and responsibilities may span the following:
- Discover Problem - research existing demand, explore the problem space and identify valuable, usable and feasible solutions to problems
- Define Vision - research and set a vision to the product aligning with the company s goals
- Define Solution - define your product solution, prioritizing requirements and mapping solutions to user needs
- Document - collaborate with Sales, Business Development, customers, etc. and write Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to enable engineering and design
- Define User Experience - work with the design team to formulate user mocks and experiences to help solve the user needs
- Evangelise - get passionate and dogmatic about your product. Educate the broader team from sales to business development to marketing to developers to operations about the product, its vision and its impact
- Define Action Plan/Roadmap - switch gears and build an action plan to take your product from ideation to fruition through incremental improvements and iterative development
- Execute - own the roadmap of the product, work with engineering to break down the deliverables in iterations and get the product delivered
- Monitor metrics - track and monitor crucial business metrics and user data that move the needle
- Iterate - design a customer feedback loop, decide what features to change and prioritize basis the ROI
- Publish - Basis the roadmap, metrics publish a release train aligning with the company s business objectives
Who should apply for this role?
- Looking for 3+ years of Product Management experience preferably in building B2B/B2C products and strong Engineering and Analytical background.
- Looking for hustlers who thrive in ambiguity and love the challenge of independently running with products. For the current role, an ideal candidate will have the following:
- A track record of:
- Managing a product factoring in industry trends, competitive positioning, market, etc
- Building products for engineers or having worked closely with engineering teams
- Building and shipping high-quality technology products owning the process end-to-end
- Adapting to complex situations with an incessant focus on business goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- A background in technology that will allow you to reason about product trade-offs making informed choices with minimal inputs from engineering
- A previous entrepreneurship experience is a huge plus
- Good to have - prior experience with the banking and/or payments landscape
