Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist specializing in US Healthcare data with a strong background in managing development projects. As the Senior Data Scientist - US Healthcare Data, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage data science development projects focused on US healthcare data with external teams. You will ensure the successful execution of these projects while also performing quality checks to ensure the delivery of high-standard solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage data science development projects focused on US healthcare data with external teams, including defining project goals, establishing timelines, and overseeing deliverables.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance and support to external development teams, assisting in resolving complex technical challenges and ensuring the efficient implementation of data science solutions specific to US healthcare data.
  • US Healthcare Data Analysis: Perform advanced data analysis, modeling, and statistical analysis on US healthcare data to derive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Compliance and Privacy: Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other privacy regulations, throughout the data science project lifecycle.
  • Interoperability Standards: Apply knowledge of interoperability standards, including Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), to integrate and exchange healthcare data across systems and entities.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with external teams, internal stakeholders, healthcare domain experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Model Training and Evaluation: Design and train sophisticated machine learning and predictive models using US healthcare data, and evaluate their performance using appropriate metrics.
  • Deployment and Monitoring: Collaborate with deployment teams to ensure the smooth deployment of data science solutions in the healthcare domain, and implement monitoring and maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project requirements, specifications, progress, and any modifications made throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications:/Skills:

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist, with a focus on managing development projects related to US healthcare data.
  • In-depth knowledge of US healthcare data sources, including claims data, electronic health records (EHR), clinical data, and healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, ICD, CPT).
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R.
  • Experience with data science libraries and frameworks, such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with interoperability standards, including Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), and experience integrating and exchanging healthcare data across systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges specific to US healthcare data.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
