Job Summary

Job Description:

  • Utilize telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meetings as tools in order to reach and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target for each conference.

  • To research and develop a list of potential sponsors for each conference.

  • To Research and develop a list of potential exhibitors when required.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients and exhibitors.

  • To Keep precise records of conversations with all clients, sponsors and exhibitors.

  • Update the company database as required.

  • To Invoice sponsors and exhibitors once agreements have been reached.

  • To assist in preparing promotional material to advertise sales opportunities.

  • To maintain knowledge of conference timelines and sponsorship deadlines.

  • Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Previous work in telesales, phone based marketing, and/or business-to-business sales.

  • Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English.

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.

  • Highly motivated, ambitious and constantly striving for excellence and success.

  • Customer focused and knows how to build and maintain relationships.

  • Self-motivation/drive with a work-ethic based on never giving up.

  • Results oriented.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Demonstrated previous experience working in the Conference & Events function

  • Qualification, degree, or certification in a relevant field
