Job Description

About this Role:
The Quotative Analytics Engineering (QAE) team is responsible for developing and maintaining financial models that underpin BlackRock s risk management analytics. The team also supports the infrastructure and software that deliver analytic content to portfolio and risk management professionals internally and externally. QAE s work spans various financial products from equities and fixed income to derivatives and covers risk analysis from individual instruments to entire portfolios and enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and automate the monthly release process for the Analytics Engine.
  • Refactor and rewrite existing release scripts and develop new scripts to streamline automation.
  • Convert critical Perl scripts to Python, collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional experience writing robust, object-oriented Python code.
  • Exposure to CMake and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, particularly Azure DevOps, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with a programming language like C++ (preferred), as programming is central to daily operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and simply.
