Job Summary
Primary Roles and ResponsibilitiesBMC Solution Demonstration Development. Join a new team dedicated to developing world-class demonstrations that highlight BMCs value across an enterprise suite of solutions. As a member of this team, you will be one of the first to understand and configure newly developed products for customer presentations. You will help design and build scalable, bulletproof demo environments that consistently receive high ratings and drive BMC revenue.oQuickly ramp-up on BMC solutions, architecture, and installation guidesoCollaborate with teams responsible for developing and installing our new integrationsoAttend regular SCRUM calls to understand development efforts prior to releaseoTest beta integration releases and provide feedback to developersoWork closely with PreSales architects who will outline required demo structure and requirementsoWork closely with demo deployment team to architect scalable, integrated demosoAssist in preparing demo sand POCsoOpen support tickets where needed to address installation issuesoWork on-call as 1st-level support for PreSales and Partner demo usersoResolve issues in real-time and leveraging all available resources to ensure that customer demos and POCs are conducted successfullyoEscalate issues as needed to 2nd-level support (developers) and provide thorough background information to help diagnose root cause
Required skills and backgroundo5 to 8 years of proven success as an application specialistinstalling and troubleshooting applications in a production environment, preferably in the infrastructure monitoring, automation and service management domainsoExperience installing, upgrading and supporting some of the following: BMC Helix Remedy, BMC Helix Discovery, BMC Helix Digital Workplace, TrueSight Operations Management, TrueSight Cloud Cost Control, TrueSight Capacity Optimization, Control-M or other BMC Software solutions.oBroad development, DevOps, or IT backgroundoAbility to work in a non-specialized teambuilding out complete environments from operating systems, to databases, to multi-tiered applications, to scriptsoAbility to document application usage and processes in carefully worded, step-by-step guides or experience with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)oFamiliarity with Windows, Linux, SQL Server, and OracleoUses clear, concise language and active listening skills to communicate complex information, and to quickly resolve issues in a helpful, friendly manneroWorks well across organizations and hierarchy, keeping managers informed of status and risk at all timesoEncourages, motivates and includes our broader team
Preferred skillsoCloud and virtualization experienceoContainer and automation experienceoPreSales or Marketing experience is a plusoHow-to video creation a plus
