Job Summary
- Sells company products (in particular IT Operations Management and IT Service Management Solutions) and services to assigned strategic, corporate and/or global accounts
- Achieves assigned sales quotas and goals for customers located within a defined geographic territory or account lists which include large and strategic named accounts and/or high potential, or prospect named accounts
- Incorporates knowledge of our products and services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process and uses that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value-based solutions
- Prospects and develops business, responds to RFPs, and develops value-based proposals for presentation to customer
- Coordinates account resources with representatives from marketing, pre-sales engineering, and development
- Works on site with customers to develop relationships, understand their environments, and successfully sell BMC products and services
- Works collaboratively with other Account Managers, Pre-Sales, Product Account Managers and other ecosystem team members to progress opportunities effectively
- Conducts Product Trainings / Enablements for internal Sales Teams as well as Partners/Customers on regular basis to build a larger market for ITOM/ITSM Product Segments
- Works collaboratively with Marketing to plan Marketing Events across the region in order generate brand equity as well as drive the corporate messaging
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Proven track record of selling IT Software/Hardware to Large Enterprises / Banks / BFSI Organizations / Government Organizations
- Direct Sales Experience in any Software/Hardware Sales Organization
- Strong Technical Capabilities with the ability to present all solutions without pre-sales assistance
- Deep understanding of IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) Practice
- Ability to work independently while carrying direct quota
- Ability to travel regularly within defined territory as per Business Needs
- Experience of managing Sales Operations in SFDC on day to day basis
- Strong relationships in Accounts earlier managed or currently managing
- Strong Presentation Skills and proven record of presenting in/to Seminars / Conferences / Customers / Partners
- Great learning abilities. Should be able to quickly learn the new solutions and be able to present the same to Customers/Partners/Colleagues
- Strong technical background in order to drive technology discussions with Customers/Partners/Pre-Sales etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Uses full understanding of discipline to resolve complex issues in creative and efficient ways.
- Applies judgement in evaluating and proposing recommendations to resolve issues that often require deep analysis and interpretation of data.
- Participates in, and may lead, cross-functional and department teams. Plans and executes tasks with very little supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience OR advanced degree with 10 years of experience required.
