Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Editor to join our IDD team and contribute to the creation of high-quality technical documentation for BMC software products. In this role, you will collaborate with writers, engineers, and senior technical staff to edit and update content for the IZOT product line, ensuring technical accuracy and customer usability. Responsibilities: Content Creation & Editing: Collaborate with writers and engineers to design, edit, and publish technical content for the IZOT product line. Assist senior writers in the creation and maintenance of product documentation, following through on product cycles. Collaboration & Reviews: Work with internal and external reviewers to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to project deliverables. Participate in feedback loops with customers and the field to ensure the documentation meets customer needs. Documentation Process: Contribute to and maintain high-quality documentation processes and content delivery under the direction of IDD management. Assist with monitoring product usability issues and document problems, making recommendations for improvements. Teamwork & Communication: Maintain good working relationships with individuals in both internal and external teams, ensuring smooth collaboration. Balance the volume of work with high-quality output and escalate issues as necessary. Creative Improvement: Recommend creative ways to enhance the technical content and documentation processes. Help optimize documentation based on feedback and internal discussions. Position Requirements: Experience: Previous experience writing technical documentation for enterprise software products is required. Experience with mainframe technologies or applications is a plus. Skills & Tools: Hands-on experience with team collaboration tools, authoring, and publishing tools. Recent experience with wiki authoring tools. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software applications. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with globally diverse teams. Organization & Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver quality results on time. Why Join BMC?
