Job Summary

The Head of PR Practice (Head of Public Relations Practice) would be responsible for leading BrandLoom s PR strategies and also of its esteemed clients. The ultimate objective will be to promote key initiatives, business and/or product s image and reputation in the eye of the target audience.

The Head of PR will work closely with The Founders, Business Development, Brand Strategy and Digital Marketing Teams to develop and execute initiatives that help us achieve business objectives. The Head of PR also serves as one of the key media contacts and representatives for the business.

Initially this role will be of an individual contributor, however, over a period of time the Head of PR will be responsible for building a strong PR team. The individual will have direct reporting to the CEO.

Objectives and Responsibilities of the Head of PR

  • Develop a communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics along with Brand strategy team.
  • Develops online and offline media relations strategy.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and develops new contacts with relevant media.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Evaluate opportunities for spokesman-ship, partnerships, sponsorship and advertising on an on-going basis.
  • Develop an understanding of industry trends and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy.
  • Coordinating all public relations activities.
  • To work closely and influence other team members and clients to ensure operational and communication goals.
  • The individual will be responsible for the external media focussed written communications such as pitches, press releases, briefing materials, byline articles and keynote presentationsand coverage reports for BrandLoom and its customers.
  • The individual will also be responsible for award submissions, speaking opportunities, abstracts, and Q&As Research.
  • Identify opportunities to develop news story ideas and draft media relations materials.
  • To monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  • Develop ideas for press releases, content marketing or other ways to generate earned media impressions.

Qualification and Skills:

  • 5-10 years of experience in PR. Should have worked with a reputed PR agency.
  • Post/ Graduate in Business Management / Communication / Economics / Commerce / Mass media / Journalism.
  • Have proven results in campaigns executed by yourself or your team
  • Experience with digital media and social media monitoring tools.
  • Proven ability to execute media relations and storytelling, including creating pitches and facilitating media briefings.
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management

Salary: INR 5,00,000 10,00,000 P.A.
