Principal Program Manager Job in Cadence Design Systems

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

Required:

• Proficient w/ MS Project and Agile program management techniques
• Engineering degree in either Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• ASIC/HW or DSP/Application SW product development experience
• Work Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of relative work Experience and Education:
• Bachelors with min 5-6 years of related technical experience OR Masters or MBA with min 3-4 years of related technical experience
• PLUS 1-2 years of hands on relative program management experience

Ideal:

• Processor development background (CPUs, GPUs, DSPs)
• AI /Machine Learning Background
• Some finance background (ROI, NPV, )
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or ISO26262 Functional Safety
• Programming skills (Python, C++/Java, VBA, SQL) useful for automation, dB management
• Expertise with Confluence/Jenkins/Atlassian-JIRA (especially REST protocols)
• Experience with automation for/with Microsoft Applications

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• lead the planning and track the implementation of projects
• take projects through product phase gates for sign off between engineering and marketing
• facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• develop full scale project plans
• manage/track project resource allocation using existing online tools
• plan and schedule project timelines
• track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• provide direction and support to project team
• support quality assurance
• constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
• implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Engineering to assure effective and efficient project execution

Training and Further Experience:

• knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• knowledge of project management techniques and tools

• proficient in project management software
