Data Analyst Job in Cambridge Technology

We are seeking a Data Analyst who can turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. You are expected to be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, you shall be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports for continued innovation and growth.

Skills Required

• Bachelor s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics
• At least 5+ years of experience with at least 3+ years experience in mining data as a data analyst
• Strong Experience in languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques
• Experience using distributed data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop) for analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., JMP, SAS, Stata, SPSS)
• Hands-on experience in Exploratory data analysis (EDA)
• Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques
• Should have a thorough understanding of Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics.
• Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Tableau
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Technical writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to QA and troubleshoot data
• Knowledge in Cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Azure is an add-on.
• Any experience in Machine Learning techniques is an add-on.
• Any experience in the context of biomedical/biological research is an add-on.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Providing expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
• Designing and maintaining data systems; includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.
• Develops and manages information to support decision making. Translating numbers and facts to inform strategic business decisions
• Using statistical tools/methods to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
• Preparing reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
• Manages and improves existing reporting systems.
• Performs complex analyses.
• Provides technical support and mentoring and training to less senior analysts.
• Develops methodology and processes for prioritization and scheduling of projects.
• Analyzes problems and determines root causes.
• Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop a strategy for long term data platform architecture.
• Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.
