Job Summary
Duties include:
* Take primary ownership to grow and maintain the existing test automation environment
* Create a test automation framework using Python scripting with TestComplete to support our next generation VMS software products
* Work closely with the Software Development team to design and create acceptance, functional and regression tests for product features
* Work with management, developers and other stakeholders to establish and enforce guidelines for automated testing
* Support effort to identify test cases that are candidates for test automation and build automated regression test suites
* Develop and document requirements-based test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
* Assist development engineers in diagnosis of product defects identified either internally or by the support team
* Identify and clearly document issues in a defect tracking system
* Manage tests in Microsoft Test Manager, identify test case candidates for automation or regression and build automated regression test suites
* Occasionally assist the Development team by updating areas of C++ code that incorporate necessary third-party equipment drivers
* Assume responsibility for assigned test scope(s)
* Provide brief daily status to the team
Qualifications:
* 3+ years in Software Quality Assurance
* 2+ years of proficiency with Python scripting
* 2+ years experience creating, maintaining and executing automated tests in a QA environment
* Must have experience using a software and test management system
* Familiar with Quality Assurance methodologies and processes
* Familiar with TestComplete or similar automation test tools
* Familiarity with Selenium automation frameworks
* Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins
* Familiarity with Stress testing tools like Jmeter
* Must have experience identifying and reporting issues using defect tracking tools
* Background in creating and executing functional, regression, integration and automated tests
* Disciplined approach to testing, coding and defect reporting
* Strong understanding of the SDLC
* Must possess ability to interact effectively with test, development and support groups
