Global Business Services (GBS) is ABB€™s shared services organization which delivers operational and expert services in Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Legal, Global Travel Services and external Customer Contact Centers. With employees based in five main hubs and front offices, GBS provides mainly Business services to ABB teams across the globe as well as supports with external customer inquiries. This is a Fusion ShapeIn - Senior SME Payroll Integration role, reporting to the IS Service Owner, HR in the Global Business Services which is in Bangalore, India. This global project role will be accountable for the assigned deliverables of system integrations from/to Workday in the context of Project Fusion (until mid-2023). This project will transform HR delivery for ABB globally by moving from today€™s dispersed HCM landscape to an operating model that builds on a single Workday instance with best-of-breed add-ons for superior user experience for employees, line managers, HR professionals and applicants. €“ Timely delivery of the required integrations by internal or external development (including the management of design, change, risk, issue, testing, decision and defect logs) is vital for the successful activation of the new system given the global go-live on one date. This project role will end mid-2023. A permanent assignment in the post-project support team will be assessed in due course.

Your responsibilities

  • Being responsible for implementation of the assigned Payroll integrations, analysis, design, test and deploy against need for the consistency, efficiency of the overall process and information integration between different applications €“ global and local.
  • Holding close relationship and staying up to date regarding other (sub-)projects identified with an impact to this program. Giving relevant input to the Payroll Integration Lead for coordination, planning.
  • Liaising with required Information Systems (IS), Human Resources (HR), Payroll resources, complementing this with input from the functional workstream, the Workday SI and our integration partners (SHAPEiN, SPS, TMF) (connecting both €œworlds€) and feeding the outcome into the overall integration planning.
  • Coordinating and monitoring day to day project work with all internal and external resources. Ensuring the Payroll integrations incorporated into the overall process most efficiently or as per strategy.
  • Preparing and providing input for the Payroll integration lead to enable decision making.
  • Ensuring all documentation deliverables are met, to the level of quality and compliance required. Adhering to all compliance requirements at all times including audit compliance with Internal controls over financial reporting, (ICoFR), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regulations for access to and distribution of personal data within ABB.

Your background

  • Graduate/post-graduate degree in Business Management, HR, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of work experience and knowledge in several fields of HR Master Data, HR IS (Human Capital Management Systems, HCM), HR Business Processes in roles at large technological and industrial companies with complex organizations and multi-cultural management.
  • Proven Payroll integration experience by having successfully worked in global deployment projects in the HR domain with significant aspects of complex IT implementation, organizational transformation and ambitious value creation targets.
  • Experience implementing Payroll integrations using Workday as the core HCM system, use of Workday standard connectivity solutions PECI, WECI, PICOF, APIs, Webservices is highly favorable.
  • Strong technical understanding of SAP HR and Payroll info type structures.
  • Strong analytical thinking and good communication skills to organize a global community of HR business process specialists and IS specialists, manage co-dependencies with WD SI and our Integration partners towards the common solution within the given timelines. Ability to structure and convey complex messages, urgency and insights into meaningful action plans.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, clear communicator, MS Office, digital collaboration tools/platforms.
