This is a Test Lead role, reporting to the R&D Senior Principal Engineer in business area Process Automation located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABB. It is based in Bangalore, the silicon-valley of India. Its unique infrastructure places research, development, engineering, and service teams under one roof, increasing collaboration and reducing time to market, with no compromise on quality.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure projects are setup for success with test automation practices.
• Work towards uplifting projects with Test Automation Frameworks to enable CI / CD.
• Understand and review user stories and functional requirements.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, scenarios, and automation scripts, in compliance with defined QA standards and methodologies.
• Review manual test cases and provide feedback on suitability for automation.
• Support, maintain, and enhance all test automation related activities during iterative development, system testing, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Design, develop and maintain Virtual Services (stubs) to enable automation of system tests.
• Mentor team members in automation testing.

Your background

• MCA/B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics from a reputed institution.
• Require 8+ years of experience in Software Testing of middleware and web-based applications.
• Should have experience in Test Automation tools (preferably, Selenium, LeanFT).
• Should have experience in automating middleware components (Ex: MQTT, REST API).
• Should have experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (Cucumber, Serenity).
• Should have experience in developing automation libraries and utilities using c# or python.
• Should have experience in debugging automation scripts and root cause analysis.
• Should have experience in working with docker and Azure web apps.
