Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced programmer to join our application security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing custom code to generate and query reports on application vulnerabilities for our team of security analysts and developers. The candidate will work closely with other members of the application security team, including security analysts and leaders, to ensure that our applications are secure and compliant with industry standards. Job Responsibility (Checklist) The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key deliverables: Design and develop custom code to generate and query reports on application vulnerabilities. Collaborate with security analysts and stakeholders to identify requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams Ensure data quality and integrity. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related stream. Experience 3-4 years of total IT experience Experience in application security programming and reporting Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF, SQL injection) Experience with secure coding practices and design patterns Knowledge and Competencies Preferred Skills: Design and develop custom code to generate and query reports on application vulnerabilities Collaborate with security analysts and stakeholders to identify requirements Automate report generation process using scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) Participate in incident response activities as needed Strong understanding and hands-on experience in using/integrating RESTful/SOAP Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) into automation flows/scripts Solid understanding of the testing process and ability to design test cases/scripts after analyzing Proficiency in troubleshooting and researching error/exceptions in scripting languages such as Python, Bash The Carelon Promise Aligning with our brand belief of limitless minds are our biggest asset , we offer a world of limitless opportunities to our associates.
