As an Engineer, you willhave the opportunity to learn light fabrications design of new global productsand processes. you will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to acooperative team in the design of new global products and processes. In thisengineering position, you will build your technical expertise while learningproduct development through practical application and staying abreast ofinnovative technology. You will also build your professional network, engagewith peers and receive guidance from mentors in the field.

Job Duties / Responsibilitiesmay include, but are not limited to:

In this role, you willdeepen your knowledge base of Caterpillars products, technologies, processes,services and systems, which you will use to:

Performsheet metal design including any complex stamping design

Understandand apply knowledge of light fabrication manufacturing process which includes stamping,welding, painting etc..

Understandand apply knowledge of sound suppression for engine enclosure;

Activelysupport a prototype, pilot, or production build relates to structural design

Performfailure analysis, identify root cause, generate ideas and propose solution tomedium / complex light fabrication failures;

Evaluatenew products, processes, or systems;

Performproduct and process maintenance;

Communicateresults to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units;

Applyknowledge of welding, GD&T in engineering drawings & manufacturingprocesses;

Dailycollaboration with global engineers on prioritizing, planning and executing ofprojects;

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelorsdegree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or AutomobileEngineering

RelevantWork Experience: 4 8 Years

Stronganalytical, communication and interpersonal skills

Emphasison initiative and self-starting tasks

Strongknowledgein sheet metal design, material selection and properties

Soundknowledge in manufacturing / welding /assembly processes of fabricated parts.

Experiencein completing the full NPI program start to finish with a focusedresponsibility for the development of light fabrication.

OtherQualifications:

Incumbentshould possess working knowledge on Creo

Knowledgein heavy fabrications design

Knowledgein Plastics and Non Mettalics

Requiresadequate knowledge on general engineering practices and Teamcenter engineeringenterprise.

Challenges include managing theirown development by continuously learning through experience and staying abreastof technology changes.
