JOB PURPOSE: To direct and participate in the concept and design of complex engineering products for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, serviceability at the most affordable cost.

JOB DUTIES: This position represents the journey level position within design engineering. The primary role of a Engineer is that of an individual contributor to the planning and delivery of a project.

Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all the following:

-Technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams for Large engines and balance of plant for Electric Power /Oil gas or Marine segment.
-System engineering of electrical related system transfer switches, UPS and switchgear systems.
-Engine or Genset System integration in various applications (Electric Power /Oil gas or Marine segment) including alarm, control and monitoring systems.
-Determine electrical components (i.e. generator, circuit breakers, Digital & Analog I/O modules and communication protocols) for customer contract

Success factors Demonstrating excellent analytical skills and a mastery of engineering concepts. Major challenges facing incumbents are meeting design goals for cost, reliability, performance, timelines and managing multiple priorities.
Engineers must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology. This position provides a platform for growth and leadership skills development. Incumbent will have opportunities to work with a diverse cross function team for development of world class engineering solutions for our global products.

Qualifications

Key skills and Knowledge requirement:
Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree or above in Electrical engineering.
  • 3-8 years experience in electrical components selection, electrical circuit design & simulation
  • Thorough knowledge of the design and working of one or more of the following- Controllers, Circuit Breakers, Digital & Analog I/O modules and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS232).
  • Good knowledge about High Volt, Medium Volt & Low Volt electrical switchgear and plant control systems with the visualization system SCADA.
  • Skilled in CAD software like AutoCad and EPLAN.
  • Thorough knowledge of generator selection
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Highly motivated to work in interdisciplinary and international teams


Nice to Have:
-Knowledge of Large diesel, gas and dual fuel engines
-Knowledge in MS-Office tools
-Skilled in Windchill and CREO
