Job Summary
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and manage strategic breakthrough sourcing strategies for all defined portfolios of commodities, which support future business requirements
* Develop and manage a cross-functional commodity management team
* Ensure effective management of suppliers and commodities within new product development projects and existing product improvement cycles
* Manage key supplier performance to result in the development and maintenance of selected suppliers
* Structure supply market as supplier research programs to support the commodity strategy management process
* Provide guidance, direction and leadership to subordinate personnel
* Personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates
* Strong knowledge of at least one of the following: material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing operations and traffic systems
* Working knowledge of company products
* Good analytical skills
* College or university degree or equivalent experience
* 3 to 5 years of job-related experience
* Good human relations skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department

As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will manage one or more selected commodities as a global business. This individual is responsible for establishing the vision, mission and strategic sourcing plans to ensure profitability while attaining objectives in customer satisfaction, design, quality, marketing, pricing, inventory and distribution. Considered entry level into this type of responsibilities and accountabilities.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
