The Supply Chain Services group part of ProductSupport & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a Client Lead positionlocated in Bangalore, India facility.
JOB PURPOSE:
Support Data Accuracy & Records Tracking(DART) Products and Services team by effectively collaborating with facilities,suppliers and internal team members to improve the EDI and shipping labelperformance for DART client facilities that include Caterpillar manufacturing,logistics centers, and cross-dock facilities located globally.
Job Duties:
DART Services teamis primarily responsible to ensure EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) ASN, Invoice andshipping label standards are followed, and the SLAs are consistently achieved for globally supported Caterpillar clientfacilities. DART core functions include, working with suppliers to improveon-time and accurate EDI ASN, Invoice and SP20 labels and working with clientfacilities to ensure the EDI ASN, Invoice and SP20 labels are usedappropriately to improve the receiving efficiency.
Responsibilities ofSupply ChainPlanning Engineer Client Lead mayinclude, but are not limited to:
- Defining, tracking, and reporting byfacility on supplier 856-ASN (Advance Shipping Notice), 810-Invoice, and SP20 (StandardPractice) Label conformance and accuracy to ensure high EDI performanceobjectives are achieved and maintained
- Acting as the Primary liaison betweenthe client facilities, suppliers and DART to ensure various inbound EDI and/orlabel issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Developing effective RCCA solutions to improve facilityEDI and Shipping label performances
- Facilitating monthly update meetingswith client facilities on EDI progress, using Tableau reporting and other datasources to develop EDI presentations
- Troubleshooting DART system/EDI issues withsystems/technical teams and supporting new software development andenhancements that would support better tracking and reporting
- DevelopingEDI coordinators and ASN, RMD grief analyst on new concepts and scenarios toenhance their process knowledge
- Participating and leading 6 Sigmaprojects
- Assisting in proposal development forpotential new clients
- Coordinating,reporting, and managingresources responsible for RMD (Receipt Match Discrepancy) recordreconciliations to ensure completion in a timely manner
- Performinginternal quality audit to mitigate risk
- Establishing and stabilizing any new clients in terms oftraining facility and suppliers, system setups and developing process documentation and workflowmanagement
- Ability to bring new business solutions andprocess improvements to enable process efficiency
- Proactive approach to improve performance and ability to take informeddecisions
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
4-year college or university degree preferably in Supply chain / Logistics Management
6+ years of Supply Chain related experience, preferably with an emphasis on the inbound functions (i.e. EDI compliance, receiving, supplier planning, scheduling or expediting)
Well versed with Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
Able to travel up to 20%
Top Candidates will also have:
2+ years of experience with ANSI X12 EDI standards for common transactions such as supplier EDI 810-Invoice, 856-ASN, 850-Purchase Orders (PO) and 830-Material scheduling release
1+ years of experience with SP20 label standards and the relationship (referential integrity) between them and common EDI transactions/standards
1+ years of experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, including MACH 1-SAP and Legacy-MAMM (Materials & Manufacturing Mgmt.)
Understanding of Material or Receiving Tracking System (MTS/RTS)
Experience with statistical analysis using MS Excel (i.e. create/edit pivot tables, v-lookups, etc., and interpret results)
Familiarity with Athena and Tableau applications
Basis knowledge with SAS, Power BI
Must have excellent analytical, complex problem-solving abilities, well developed oral and written communications skills
Must have a strong customer focus, teamwork and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task various responsibilities and preferably with project and people management skills
Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills to resolve business issues and manage new / existing clients and their requirements.
Must be willing to work in night shifts.
