We are seeking a Senior Product Designer who is proactive, unafraid to own and advocate for an iterative design process, and driven towards finding simple, easy-to-use, intuitive, and elegant solutions to complex design problems. You will play a key role in shaping the overall user experience, from conducting discovery user research through to designing micro-interactions for our product UIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create design assets such as user journey flows, wireframes, visual designs, service blueprints, prototypes, and detailed specs to capture and convey design behaviors and implementation details.
- Use user research data (usability studies, surveys, interviews, etc.) and metrics to inform design decisions.
- Expert in conducting and synthesizing user research with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative methods such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics.
- Lead user research activities (with or without the support of a dedicated researcher), ensuring early validation of product ideas and concepts.
- Champion good user experiences and share best practices, demonstrating curiosity about customer needs and behaviors.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, content strategists, and other designers in an iterative design process.
- Maintain high standards for usability, accessibility (WCAG), quality, beauty, and consistency using best design practices.
- Engage in feedback sessions, ensuring alignment with larger product goals, and challenge peers productively.
- Advocate for user-centered design, ensuring design decisions are rooted in user needs and behaviors.
- Think big while considering the larger system, sweating the small details that enhance the product.
- Be a team player with humility, hard work, and a willingness to help others succeed.
- Informally mentor and provide feedback to other designers.
- Contribute to shaping the design team s culture through collaboration, feedback, and process iteration.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience designing delightful user experiences with a portfolio showcasing processes and deliverables.
- Proven ability to clarify, present, justify, and defend design decisions to stakeholders.
- Experience contributing to and consuming component-based design systems.
- Expertise in Figma/FigJam and other relevant UX design, research, and prototyping tools.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent presentation skills.
- Significant experience in designing B2B applications or SaaS products, particularly in agile, iterative environments.
- Demonstrated experience in responsive design patterns and design systems.
- Strong focus on usability and efficiency, with a drive to simplify complex problems.
- Strong information design skills with a solid foundation in UX design heuristics.
- Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, ego-free, cross-functional team environment.
- Confidence in design leadership and effective communication across teams.
- Excitement for solving real customer problems with smart, delightful solutions aligned with company goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree in HCI or design-related field with an emphasis on user experience, interaction design, or visual design.
- Experience with motion design, HTML, CSS, JS, and other front-end technologies.
- Strong understanding of how AI and machine learning can inform design decisions, enhance interactions, and personalize experiences.
