Job Summary
Job Purpose The primary purpose of this role is to lead and execute Cipla s global Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) strategy, alongside various employee engagement initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of these initiatives and enhancing the overall employee experience. This role will involve close collaboration with HR teams across the globe, business leaders, and senior stakeholders to address a wide range of I&D and engagement priorities. Additionally, it will focus on improving internal and external communication to ensure clarity, transparency, and ongoing improvement of the employee experience. Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and Lead I&D Initiatives: Design and implement an annual I&D plan to drive measurable progress across Cipla's global business and operations. Manage specific projects, including the creation of a quarterly gender diversity dashboard that tracks targets versus achievements, analyzes female exit reasons, and implements action plans to improve gender diversity. Collaborate with sales and manufacturing HR teams to increase the hiring of diverse groups such as women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities. Identify and partner with vendors to support initiatives like training and sensitization workshops for senior leaders and managers. Establish social media campaigns to enhance Cipla s brand perception and attract diverse talent. Develop a social media calendar to promote I&D efforts, ensuring global representation. Ensure diverse voices are included in leadership dialogues, such as fireside chats. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to create tailored engagement strategies for women, differently-abled employees, and LGBTQ+ members. Participate in recognition programs and surveys, including Great Places to Work and the Pride Circle s India Workplace Equality Index. Develop and maintain an I&D section on Cipla s career website, showcasing initiatives, inclusive policies, and campaigns. Key Challenges 1. Developing a unified strategy for a large and diverse workforce across multiple geographies with unique needs. 2. Securing buy-in from senior management and HR leaders for the execution of engagement activities. 3. Leveraging HRBPs and SPOCs to champion I&D initiatives without overburdening their existing responsibilities. 4. Utilizing people analytics to demonstrate the impact of I&D activities with relevant data. 5. Managing expectations of senior leaders and Board members regarding the delivery and success of I&D and engagement programs. Key Interactions Internal BU HR Teams: Provide advisory services and customize I&D initiatives for business units. CoE Teams: Collaborate with other Centers of Excellence on cross-functional initiatives. BU Heads/Leaders: Socialize the employee engagement agenda and seek guidance for implementation. Corporate Communications: Manage internal and external communications related to I&D and employee engagement. IT Department: Assist with selecting vendors, implementing digital tools, and optimizing communication channels. Legal: Handle vendor and partner contracts as necessary. External I&D Consultants/Advisors: Collaborate on I&D strategy and execution. Influencers and Speakers: Engage with thought leaders in I&D. Technology and Communication Partners: Evaluate and select vendors for I&D campaigns. Branding Partners: Work with design and analytics firms for brand building and collateral creation. Peer Companies' I&D Leads: Exchange insights and best practices. Dimensions Scope & Scale: Global scope, managing I&D across all geographies and for over 25,000 employees. Vendor Management: Oversee 5-6 vendors supporting I&D activities and engagement. Geographies: Primarily focused on India. Direct Reports: None. Campaigns: Execute 3-4 I&D and engagement campaigns annually. Key Decisions Develop the framework and guidelines for I&D strategies and initiatives for the year. Make recommendations on vendor changes for I&D activities as needed. Qualifications & Experience Education: MBA in Human Resources. Experience: 4-6 years in HR, with a strong focus on I&D. Skills: Deep understanding and passion for driving I&D agendas. Advanced project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proven experience in executing I&D projects, campaigns, and training. Strong advisory and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across senior internal and external stakeholders. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on storytelling and effective content design. Attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A digital mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
