Technical Leader - Cloud & Virtualization (security) Job in Cisco Systems

Cisco is a market leader in security products and technologies that includes ASA Firewall, Next Gen Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Sensor, Email and Web Security Appliances. Cisco's Security Business currently at 2 Billion USD revenue annually from its products and services is growing at fast pace. Security Business Group (SBG) of Cisco Systems (India) is looking to hire experienced Technical Leader for Virtual firewalls for our private and public cloud customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Development of Virtual firewalls to be deployed in private and public cloud in Kubernetes orchestrated container environment.

What You'll DoYou will be responsible for developing new virtual firewalls in different cloud platforms and containerization of the existing virtual macines.

Who You are:

A qualified candidate will possess:

MS/BS in computer science or engineering

10+ year of softtware development experience.Experience of software development with one or more programming languages / scripts (C, Python, Linux, Data path (Layer 2 / Layer 3))

Demonstrated knowledge in VMware, KVM,AWS,AZURE,GCP, OPENSTACK, Linuxkernel, scheduler, drivers, memory management, storage, and performance.

Strong DPDK expertise

Kubernetes based containerization experience.

- Strong C coding skills. Because we have a lot of existing C code, you must be able to quickly read and understand complex C software.Networking and Linux network stackPython, bash, Perl
Thei deal candidate will also have these skills:Virtualization experience including: ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, and XEN- Experience developing applications for the Public Cloud (AWS,Azure, Google, Oracle, etc.)- DPDK

Experience in cloud services automation. Knowledge in Python.

Strong development and debugging skills.

Familiarity with
CI/CD, scalable / high performance cloud service is a plus

Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills

Experience in an agile development environment
Ability to come up innovative ideas and business use cases in cloud environmentUnderstand complex cloud problems and provide architecture with highly scalable, robust and optimized solutions.Interact with Product marketing, customer support and architects from other teams.Work with management to provide right estimation of any solution delivery.Guide the team and answer any technical queries during solution development or testing.Help the team to fix any production issues.Mentor Engineers from the team
