Sap Abap Developer Job in Clariant

Purpose of Job

Assist in planning, designing, development, testing and implementation of ABAP applications
Review, maintain and update existing program codes as needed
Develop technical specifications
Perform root cause analysis of issues and defects
Work effectively and independently on assigned projects.
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with technical and functional team members and business users

Responsibilities

Support, guide and consult Clariant Businesses

• Support professional business consulting in the designated process area
• Identify business demand for new or changed requirements/processes based on tickets in ITSM
• Support projects over the complete application development and maintenance cycle
• Align with team lead activities and business demand to agree on priorities and resources/efforts.

Support assigned Applications/Processes

• Analyze and assess application incidents and provide solutions within defined timeframes
• Identify potential for techn., data or process oriented improvements, provide proposals for realization
• Analysis, conception and realiz. of bus. requirements incl. coding and documentation
• Ensure innovative and rapid implementations without sacrificing quality and performance

Management and Implementation of Service Order/Project related activities

• Support assessments of new business requirements and prepare solutions
• Realize business demand along CCC BA standards
• Support SOA and projects in close collaboration with CCC-BA requestors and project managers
• Acts along standards, policies, guidelines and contribute to its permanent improvement

Documentation and Training

• Identify demand for application training and prepare/enhance appropriate training material
• Ability to transform business needs into IT solutions
• Delivers high quality documentation
• Continuously keeps his professional skills up-to-date

Requirements

Education
Degree in IT / Computing / Engineering with 5 to 8 years of related working experience

Business experience

• Proven consulting expertise in the designated area/technology (preferred with certification)
• Verificable success in projects, consulting activities or technology related improvements
• Good communication skills
• Sound experience in IT Business Consulting or comparable job experiences
