About You experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Atleast 7 years of experience in business analysis or solution aanlysis A diploma in business analysis (e.g. ISEB) or evidence of training in the discipline Training in agile or traditional project management methodology Demonstrable experience managing or mentoring Solution or Business Analysts or other roles It would be great if you also had . . . Experience in process engineering and workflow design, high-level technical design, requirements gathering and specification elaboration Knowledge of JIRA or Confluence Good understanding of working in an Agile development environment or lean business process methodologies Experience in the scholarly publishing industry or academic research domain knowledge Postgraduate qualification in business or scientific discipline What will you be doing in this role? Line management of a team of 3 Solution Analysts Promotion of best practice for Solution/Business Analysis function across the Research and Analytics business, building cross-business relationships with colleagues in other business units and functions Alongside the Senior Director, Product Management, be responsible for long-term planning for Solution Analysis capacity in order to meet business goals, including input into project or annual business cases As an individual contributor, be responsible for the collection, analysis and documentation of customer and business needs and requirements Using structured requirements process to assess near-term needs Working closely with the cross-functional teams (e.g. User Experience, Software Development, Solutions Architects, Data Science and Quality Assurance) to communicate and clarify requirements and ensure developments meet requirements by accepting completed work Supporting Scrum Masters and Project Managers to manage requirements and dependencies across matrixed teams Building relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to maximize the use of resources and optimize the content and functionality of our product initiatives Assisting the product management team in quarterly prioritization and development of scope for regular releases Assisting the Quality Assurance team in reviewing test scripts (as required), communicating and clarifying requirements
