Job Summary
Basic Function :
- The MDM Developer is responsible for the development, and implementation of Master Data Management solutions (MDM) for Datasource Consulting.
- Using MDM technologies and tools across an enterprise to enable the management and integration of master data.
- He will also be involved in integrationtransfer of data across multiple systems, streamlining data processes and providing access to MDM data across the enterprise.
Essential Functions :
- Interpret requirements and architect MDM solutions
- Make technology decisions related to the Client MDM environment.
- Create Design Document and data models addressing business needs for the client MDM environment
- Contribute to creating reusable assets and accelerators for MDM platforms.
- Must be proficient reading and understanding data models
- Must have significant experience working with data and databases.
- Must have experience working with Orchestra Networks EBX5
- Must be comfortable with the concept of services (important for integrating with an ESB for operational MDM)
- Knowledge of Change & Incident Management process (CMRs, etc.).
Primary Internal Interactions :
- Coordinate with Project Managers and participate in project planning and recurring meetings
- Collaborate with other team members to review prototypes and develop iterative revisions
- Primary External Interactions
- Limited to working in a technical capacity with client MDM personnel
Skills :
Technical Skills Must Haves :
- Must be proficient reading and understanding data models
- Must have experience working with Orchestra Networks EBX5
- Must have some software development experience. More than 2+ years worth. e.g. .net, java
- Must have at least 6+ years experience working with data and databases. This includes informal data analysis skills (i.e., a curiosity about the relationships between data elements and rules impacting data).
- Must be comfortable with the concept of services (important for integrating with an ESB for operational MDM)
Good to Haves :
- Has strong formal data analysis skills
- Has strong data integration skills
- Has data modeling experience - creating data models
- Has experience working with open-source andor ESB technologies such as Pentaho, Talend, Mulesoft, or Biztalk
Process Specific Skills :
- Ability to adapt to a variety of team work environments, as this changes client to client
Soft skills Desired :
- Experience working with multi-divisional business communities to leverage information across the enterprise to improve business effectiveness
- Strong team, interpersonal, analytical, problem identification and resolution skills
Soft Skills Minimum :
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong writtenoral communication and presentationinterpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Education Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree
