What are we looking for? Must haves Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5-9 years of professional experience in data engineering Proven experience working with AWS services, including but not limited to S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Redshift and DBT Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data pipeline development Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts Familiarity with data governance and security best practices Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Good to have AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, AWS Certified Data - Specialty) are a plus Expertise in ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) What will you be doing? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions Implement data transformation and enrichment processes to ensure data quality and consistency Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and cost-effectiveness on AWS Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring high availability and reliability. Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve our data engineering capabilities Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance as needed
