Job Summary Job description of Consultant Paediatrician
Education Qualifications: MBBS from MCI recognized college. MD /DNB/DCH in Paediatrics, either from India or abroad .Should have an experience of at least 5 years of working in a reputed hospital in India or abroad.

Medical Knowledge:
  • The Consultant is responsible for the in-patient and out-patient medical management of children.
  • Responsible for Labour Ward/OT cover of newborn and emergency duties through the registrars.
  • Responsibility for administrative duties (e.g. review of results of investigations, patient records) which arise as a consequence of these clinical duties.
  • Undertake responsibility for the admissions and day to day care of children admitted / referred to the paediatric department
  • Appropriately deal with paediatric problems in other areas e.g. the Accident and Emergency Department or other wards in the hospital in related cases.
  • Must be available on call as per rota
  • Will also be a Faculty for the teaching programmes in the Department
  • Should be willing to work in a multi disciplinary team, whenever required.
    • Skill required:
    Attitude: Practice evidence based medicine, good communication, willingness to work in a team. Availability for emergencies, up to date with current guidelines and protocols. Experience with electronic medical record of patient data
