SECURITY ENGINEER INTEGRATION SERVICES

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Security Engineer is part of a team responsible for comparing security controls of external business

partner acquisitions and aligning with Comcast Standards. The position will work closely with other

team members to identify existing security controls, identify any gaps to Comcast standards, and apply

interim or permanent security solutions to close those gaps.

This position will require strong teamwork with the Network team, Messaging team, and Security

Incident Response Team, the Messaging team and business stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

Collect and review system documentation and participate in team interviews to develop integration requirements

Update design documents and flow diagrams based on input from Sr team members

Review and customize policy rulesets that support required network communications and prevent unwanted/unnecessary traffic

Deploy security technology to provides interim secure communications between organizations

Identify and recommends areas requiring improvements or modification

Support the development of a repeatable playbook/onboarding process.

Skills:

Operational knowledge of networking protocols and routing

Exposure to Malware prevention solutions

Linux Command line/ Terminal?experience

Strong background with Windows operating systems

Good communicator able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues

Adaptable, proactive and driven to take ownership

Keen attention to detail and high level of commitment.

Knowledge and Experience:

2 to 3 years Enterprise security experience

Working knowledge of networking technologies, including: IP Addressing v4/v6, routing, switching, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, NAT rules

Knowledge of SMTP and mail protection a plus

Knowledge of complex network operating environments, including remotely-hosted or cloud-based service offerings

General knowledge of information security controls

Experience with 1 or more Firewall Gateway products, including policy and rule analysis and development

Experience with Remote Access technologies

Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.

Aptitude to work with others

Comfortable with interfacing with other internal or external organizations
