Job Summary

In this role you will

  • Build cloud network and cloud security roadmaps and designs that support innovative application features involving multiple organizations and lines of business, enabling visible competitive advantage to Cornerstone s product offerings.
  • Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and expansion activities. Lead and manage design and implementation of new network architecture, network projects, and upgrades for datacenter as well as for public cloud.
  • Review and provide quality assurance on all proposed designs within owned and related architectures for quality and adherence to the Architectural Standards.
  • Accommodate emergent business technical requirements into cloud network and cloud security design requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate technological and process issues in the best interest of Cornerstone s business objectives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in multiple cloud networking and cloud security technology areas
  • Establish network design and prototype evaluation criteria and processes.
  • Educate senior management, technical and non-technical audiences on network designs and their implications for operations or the business.
  • Initiate, develop, and drive the adoption of product and process improvements.
  • Review and provide quality assurance on all proposed designs within owned and related architectures for quality and adherence to the Architectural Standards.
  • Identifies and delivers technical and process improvements that helps in significantly improving availability.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting through proven technical expertise.
  • Work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of identifiable or intangible variables.
  • Maintain a service-oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection, and resolution.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and drives outcomes that would significantly improve quality, time to market and operational efficiencies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in building processes and tools for cloud operations including advanced monitoring and logging.
  • Maintain network security controls and compliance on all network devices. Work with Information Security team to establish network security standards and assess network vulnerability.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the team in proactively building risk and mitigation plans to handle security (eg., DDOS) incidents, and vulnerabilities for datacenter and cloud infrastructure and when require develop remediation plans.
  • Provide on call support and drive critical maintenances for the organization.

You've got what it takes if you have

  • Bachelors or Advanced Degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science (or related discipline)
  • Must have 14+ years of relevant hand-on technical experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in designing, implementing and supporting network related activities in AWS, including but not limited to VPCs, Firewall, IDP, Transit GW, ELBs, VPN, Direct Connect etc., along with deployment automation, cloud formation and/or other automation tools for AWS.
  • Strong Exposure to AWS services such as cloud watch, CloudTrail, Lambda, S3.
  • Certification - AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty (ANS-C00).
  • CCNP, CCIE LAB is desirable. CCVP a plus.
  • Advanced networking and security hands-on experience in managing AWS cloud.
  • Experience in designing and supporting expansive cloud, on-prem or Hybrid solutions.
  • Experience in migration of applications from On-Premises environment to AWS cloud.
  • Infrastructure forensics, deep packet analysis, vulnerability assessments.
  • Proven track record of delivering roadmaps and designs that has been a game changer in improving business outcomes for SaaS business/products.
  • Proven ability to manage large, highly visible infrastructure projects to completion.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Ability to influence stakeholders including, application owners, architects and senior leaders.
  • Ability to navigate Design, Implementation and Operations teams towards resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Software development and/or automation experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in heterogeneous product lines such as AWS services, Cisco Nexus switches, ASA, DNS, Juniper SRX, PAN Firewalls/management tools, and F5.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex n-tier web applications.
  • Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, SSL Certificate Management, routing, access control lists, security, firewall and network traffic analysis. DNS, DHCP, operating systems, and applications data flows.
  • In depth knowledge on configuring and optimizing Network device monitoring and alerting.
  • Ability to have constructive debates to reach the best outcome for the organization.
  • Networking for containers.
