Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Engineering & Assurance team at Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD). You will play a critical role in protecting our technology ecosystem from internal and external threats by defining security best practices, conducting architecture and design reviews, threat modeling, security assessments, and guiding vulnerability remediation efforts across the CSOD tech stack. This role demands a strong cybersecurity background and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document secure information system operations and enterprise-wide security best practices.
• Lead architecture and design reviews to embed robust security standards in technology solutions.
• Drive DevSecOps initiatives, integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to maintain a strong security posture.
• Implement advanced security solutions to improve detection and response times.
• Ensure secure design, development, and deployment of Generative AI (Gen AI) systems.
• Develop, enforce, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Work independently while mentoring and guiding junior security engineers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering within multi-cloud or complex environments.
• Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and secure coding practices.
• Proficiency with programming/scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for scalable security automation.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as SOC, NIST, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and CIS Controls.
• Skilled in developing security metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
