Job Summary
- Advanced understanding of & experience with common DB2 z/OS database administration tools
- Proficiency in DB2 z/OS tuning (application, subsystem, & operating system levels)
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex problems
- Ability to easily & calmly handle technical crises
- Understanding of CICS, Cobol, Assembler, and Java to code, debug, & optimize database access
- Excellent time management
- Shell or powerscripting ability (REXX or similar language)
- Advanced OS & database networking concepts
- Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
