Position Details:

Test Engineer Lead will be accountable for the successful execution of:
Supporting the development and growth of a testing practice, including customer engagements, test automation development, and multi-product solution end to end testing.
Facilitation of Agile delivery process adoption.
On boarding, direction and growth for world-wide development and delivery teams.
On target attainment of SLAs.
Realization of the client expected benefits, and delivery.
Continuous service improvement.


This role will establish a trusted and strategic advisory relationship with both CSG client(s) and other CSG go-to-market functions, to position the company for future business growth opportunities. The Test Engineer Lead will lead a distributed team co-located with the customer(s) and/or in remote CSGs offices.


Key Outputs & Accountabilities:
Deliver identified major technology services program(s) within budget and time requirements.
Accountability for customer stakeholders, project schedules, quality requirements, resource allocation, risk, requirements and change management.
Manage customer engagement(s) and relationships while providing overall leadership to a distributed team.
Obtain efficiencies within the CSD team and deliver a more efficient and successful delivery model for the group.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met This may involve traveling to customer locations and working with a globally distributed team. Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as managed contract testers.
Provides QA expertise through instruction of team members on how to test our software and lead by example.
Design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework.
Translate functional solution documents into thorough and complete test cases.
Work with the business and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects and other related issues.
Develop software interfaces between the system under test and the automation framework. Encourage integration and promote obtaining shared goals with team members.
Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices. Willingness to promote and participate in new initiatives.
Balance best practice decisions with delivering high business value (right vs right now). Communicate unacceptable risks to quality.
Improve standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in the way we test software. Lead agile planning from a QA perspective by establishing tasks/estimates.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
5+ years of relevant QA technical experience with at least 2+ years in a lead role.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of test case design techniques like boundary, decision tables, and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) / TDD (Test Driven Development).
Excellent knowledge of test automation methodologies, best practices (i.e. Page Object Model).
Experience with implementing a test automation framework/tools (i.e. Selenium, Robot, Capybara).
Experience building tests / testing software with tools that include C#/Python/Java/ within desktop and web environments.
Experience with deployment tools, build/release automation and Continuous Delivery.
Experience with large data set creation, back-end testing (SQL), being able to validate information as it flows throughout the system.
Exposure to Azure, Amazon AWS, and/or other cloud platforms preferred.
Working collaboratively with team members in a dynamic environment.
Passion and drive for automation and sound engineering practices.
Exposure to performance testing is a plus.


Desired Skills & Experience:
Strong operational skills are required, while being entrepreneurial in thought process, highly capable and self-motivated, with a desire to achieve.
Strong ability to coordinate cross functional CSG teams from different groups, for joint project purposes.
Ability to manage the day-to-day commercial elements within the customer - small Statements of Work (SOWs), Change Requests.
Ability to identify opportunities for CSG to expand the scope of service provided to the customer.
Good arbitration, strategy, and organizational skills are also necessary for satisfactory performance.
Demonstrate sophisticated communication and stakeholder management skills, to influence and gain cooperation with customers and team members where interests may be divergent.
Thorough understanding of CSG products/solutions will be an advantage.
Program Management and ITIL accreditation will be an advantage.
