Job Summary Job Title: Project Analyst Department: Real Estate Accounting Operations and Compliance Experience: 3-5 years in Finance and/or Accounting-related roles Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Job Description Summary: The Project Analyst will support the Real Estate Accounting Operations and Compliance team by reconciling financial data, managing purchase orders, and assisting with overall budget management for various projects and programs. This role involves close collaboration with program and project owners, as well as finance and procurement teams. Key Responsibilities: Reconciliation of Project/Program Spend: Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Purchase Order Management: Collaborate with workplace services partners, project managers, and procurement teams to create and manage purchase orders and change orders. Track and verify purchase orders against budget allocations, ensuring compliance with spending categories. Budget Management: Assist in developing and monitoring project and program budgets. Provide regular updates on budget status, highlight variances, and propose corrective actions. Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial reports on expenditures and budget performance. Analyze financial data to support decision-making. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate financial documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Validate quarterly fixed asset reports and assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and facilitate seamless communication. Skills & Qualities Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting-related software (Oracle, Coupa preferred). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word, Google Suite, and other relevant software. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Familiarity with project management concepts. Previous experience with financial reconciliation and budget tracking.
