Roles
- Support the development of system componenet design of battery systems factoring in charge and drive simulations.
- Requirements analysis & develop 1-D electrical and thermal physical models of Charging system based on System level and component level.
- Developing virtual ECU Models of Charigng system functions.
- Develop the Charging profile (i.e C-rate/Charging Current) for differenet Batteries of Plugin and electric vehicles.
- Developint the control strategies for optimizaing the charigng system performace.
- Performing standalone and vehicle level simulations, analyzing and documentaiton of results
- Collaborate with design/development team to develop specifications of new standards based on the product road-map
- Validate developed models in simulation through correlation with test/experimental data, identify gaps and bridge them by refining simulation methods.
- Active contribution to Innovation (Product/Process/Business/Paper/Publication) and Bring in ideas for process/efficiency improvements
- Develop optimization strategies suitable for fast charging conecpt design analysis through codes, model parameterization or reduction techniques to ensure the optimal delivery of the required performance attributes
- Research and develop new innovative battery design concepts for future products in line with the product road-map.
- Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative and innovative environment, including directly cooperating with battery design team, power electronics team and physical test teams.
Responsibilities
- Build Battery and charging system competency and Provide the expert solutions to the battery design issues
- Analyze 1-D battery system phenomena using simulation applications such as matlab, simulink or similar.
- Develop in part or in full in-house technical methods and tools to perform comprehensive characterization of charge and drive behavior of automotive battery systems.
- Complete battery performance simulation using matlab and simulink
- Develop the charging system component modeling using 1-D Model based techniques using parasitic parameter extraction from requireement and mesaurement.
Anlysis the simulation and measurement data of Battery performance.
Technical Skills
- Experience in mathematical modelling, Electrical and Thermal modelling and numerical simulations
- Technical excellence in Electric vehicles, Power Electronics, AC-DC/DC-DC converters and its control, Batteries and BMS.
- Strong desire to contribute to the development process of innovative new products in the automotive sector
- Model simplification and optimization techniques using code
- Working with international teams
- Identifying issues, providing solutions and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Experience in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow.
- Good programming skills C, C++
- Basic knowledge of CAN protocol
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently & contribute as a good team player
