To achieve the defined production target by ensuring that all activities in the production process are carried out within the specified operating parameters and by efficient utilisation of people, machines and materials in a shift by ensuring manufacturing discipline and safety norms.

• Study and maintain logbooks of the shift.
• Monitor plant operation of SBP.
• Prepare shift reports on the load, existing stock and other pre-defined parameters.
• Ensure that machines and the work area are in the appropriate order and release the relevant papers (job permits) for carrying out the necessary maintenance activities.
• Take necessary action such as a plant shutdown (if required in extreme cases) in cases of emergencies and maintaining the plant parameters in emergency.

Internal

• Maintenance departments for shift maintenance activities
• SBP, etc
• PVC monomer, packing section, carbide acetylene section and Carbide lime plant.
• Process Control lab for quality analysis of the product.
• Safety and Pollution Control department
• Main Stores
• All personnel in the shift

• Knowledge of operation of Electrolyser, blowers , pumps and compressors.
• Knowledge of chemical processes.

Knowledge of Safety and emergency handling.
