Role: Cloud/MEC Edge Computing design and deployments specialist/solution architect

Experience:

Consultant: 4- 6 years

Sr. Consultant: 6- 10 years

Generic Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding & analyzing the technology industry trends, current market, business needs & translating them into solutions, offerings to accelerate revenue growth, customer experience
• Individual will be working on technology solution offerings, RFPs, PoCs and commercials
• Should be excellent in communication, analytical skills, presentation skills, ability to multitask and handle changing priorities
• Ability to visualize use cases and develop for cross sector industry needs
• Developing and maintaining client relationships
• Expected to travel for short/long duration based on business needs

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Strong working knowledge on building MEC, Edge computing network and cloud strategy
• Good understanding of Edge computing / networks
  • SDN/Edge/5G - skills for edge computing are system design, networking, database expertise and security
  • SDN - Datacenter/cloud infrastructure, policy, network virtualization
  • 5G - strong knowledge of 5G technology and impact on business adoption
• Hands on experience on design, development, and implementation of MEC and cloud (private/public) solutions that leverage the capabilities of 4G LTE and 5G networks to reduce latency and enhance the performance of edge applications.
• Knowledge on testing and validation of MEC/Edge applications and services, ensuring they meet the performance, reliability, and security standards
• Ability to deliver advisory services, implement and operate with advanced technology roadmaps
• Good understanding of MEC/Edge framework and architecture defined by the ETSI, MEC Industry Specification Group (ISG) standardization organization
• Good working knowledge of private cloud, orchestrator solutions and automation workflows.
• Proficiency in containerization, and cloud-native platforms and technologies.
• Good understanding of Software Defined Networking offerings from top tier vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Versa, etc.
• Experience of managing multi-vendor and multi-technology ecosystem projects
• BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MBA with a cross sector industry work experience
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in relevant technical consulting skills

You will bring domain expertise related to:

• Experience in designing and developing end to end cloud and Edge Computing solution and services of distributed Edge.
• Working knowledge of Network Slicing, Edge infrastructure-MEC deployment, and Virtual/Cloud environments as well as Virtual/Cloud native Evolved Packet Core (EPC)/IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)/5G Core network architecture, call flows, and services
• Leading solution development activities and advising customer on technical front in designing MEC based or pure on-premises Edge computing solution
• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and CI/CD pipeline for software services
• Understanding of scaling and failover techniques applicable in data center and cloud environments
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and CI/CD processes
• Proficient with network and infra integration of hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
• Fair understanding of concepts of virtual or cloud environments, such as OpenStack, OpenShift, or containerization using Kubernetes
• Experience in designing Kubernetes clusters for edge computing
• Good understanding on Network Analytics - AI based Service Assurance use cases to drive business/operations benefits
• Experience with consulting methods and approaches for conducting assessment, strategy, architecture TCO/ROI services
• Understanding the competitive landscape and market opportunities in Private Networks space
• Knowledgeable of Network Slicing, Edge infrastructure, and Virtual/Cloud environments as well as Virtual/Cloud native Evolved Packet Core (EPC)/IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)/5G Core network architecture, call flows and services
• Must have experience on private 4G/5G enabled industry use cases deployment
