Job Description

Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis to optimize engine components, including cylinder head ports, combustion chamber, fuel injector targeting/spray patterns, fuel systems, intake and exhaust manifolds, turbochargers, lubrication circuits, cooling circuits, and combustion systems to meet program attributes related to durability, performance, fuel efficiency, and NVH Support engine program milestones and attribute delivery through the use of appropriate CAE methods Support quality and cost objectives through the use of appropriate CAE methods Document design analysis results with appropriate Design Analysis Report format Effectively communicate analysis results, present conclusions and recommendations to diverse audience in team meetings and to senior program management Support methodology objectives on core analysis requirements Utilize 1D and 3D CAE (using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, WAVE, and GT-POWER) to deliver analytical calibrations for gasoline and diesel engines and aftertreatment systems which meet all corporate, legal, program, timing, and quality objectives Identify new opportunities to reduce vehicle development time through increased use of CAE, including hardware in the loop (HiL) and software in the loop (SiL) testing where possible Identify new tools and methods to improve efficiency and/or quality of analytical calibration Lead Powertrain NVH CAE design verification (DV) process in supporting programs for analytical sign-Off
