Brief Description of Role:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing a sales development plan designed to meet revenue and growth goals for deshna Solutions www.desnainfotech.com and associated companies. The role requires strong commercial, business development, sales and management experience along with exposure to Digital Marketing.

1. Purpose of Job:

  • Developing, managing and overseeing the implementation of a strategic sales plan to agreed timelines to meet the financial targets for client enquires
  • Maintain account plans and communications for strategic clients
  • Reporting on pipeline and business development activities.
  • Identify new market needs to help shape and grow the revenue streams
  • Provide pre-sales support to commercial team for all sales activities
  • Meet overall revenue/ profit targets

2. Scope of the Job:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets set by the business.
  • Maintaining an accurate pipeline, account plans and territory plan and reporting to management on a regular basis.
  • Identify new products or business requirements and timely response to all sales opportunity enquiry from the market and help the organization bring to market.
  • Identify greenfield sales opportunities for the association network for Digital Marketing, CRM, SEO, SEM, SMO, Website Design.

3. Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Sales Planning

  • Develop a sales activity plan designed to meet the revenue objectives of the business
  • Identify strategic accounts that will be maintained and managed
  • Documented pipeline growth strategy aligned to identified strategic clients that meets the revenue objectives of the business.

Revenue Objectives:

  • Meet monthly & quarterly sales targets through the execution of a documented sales plan
  • Identify risks to the pipeline and escalate recommended solutions to management

Pipeline Management:

  • Keep CRM database up to date with key contacts and activities.
  • Grow the database through the addition of key executive contacts within target accounts and opportunity details
  • Create and update strategic account follow up plans for all accounts and provide weekly status reporting.
  • Maintain a territory activity plan designed to build pipeline that will meet the revenue objectives of the business.

Experience - ESSENTIAL:

  • 5+ years marketing and/ or advertising experience and comprehensive understanding of new developments in digital marketing, advertising and technology
  • Previous experience in senior management team and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Broad commercial and sales experience
  • Experience in aligning multiple product and service strategies against a unified corporate strategy
  • Broad marketing and advertising contacts and relationships within the Digital Marketing/CRM
  • Ability to develop, manage and lead large initiatives and multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in managing a P&L to deliver sustainable, profit growth across products and services.
  • Experience in driving efficiencies across business and resources

Skills and Abilities - ESSENTIAL:

  • Actively engaged in the market, identifying market trends and proactively adapting products and service strategies to capitalize on market needs
  • Creating and implementing organization-wide and product centric strategies to promote business growth
  • Define needs of market segments to inform the development and evolution of product and service offerings
  • Create tailored positioning for product and service offering to deliver to market segments and sectors.
  • Time management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team player with a positive work ethic. Ambitious and committed to achieving success

  • Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. Candidates with MBA/MCA with relevant experience will be preferred.
