Event Management

The Service Management Analyst with focus on Event Management will be responsible for undertaking assigned Event Management duties associated with Command Centre Operations, Quality Assurance, Event Management-improvement, Event Management-tooling and Event Management-architecture functions.

Area specific tasks / responsibilities:

Monitor and provide effective response to alerts including detecting and filtering events, event correlation and prioritisation

Proactively identify potential incidents and problems as well as availability issues

Correlate events and execute an appropriate responds

Education/ Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Ensures that the Service Operations team provides optimum service level to the business lines that it is supporting.

Technically involves himself in incident management and quickly find out an approach to resolve the problem.

Takes overall responsibility for the resolution of incidents and problems within the team. Oversees the resolution of complex incidents. Ensure that Analysts apply the right problem solving techniques and processes.

Has an expert level of knowledge on APPDYNAMICS as a monitoring tool and should be able to guide junior folks within team

Assists in managing business stakeholder relationships.

Assists in defining and managing OLAs with relevant stakeholders.

Ensures that defined divisional Production Management service operations and support processes are adhered to by the team. Makes improvement recommendations where appropriate.

A minimum skill set for the personnel includes the following:

Experience of working in Production Support team for at least 3 years

Strong hands on experience with DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Artifactory, uDeploy, TeamCity)

Strong hands on experience with DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Artifactory, uDeploy, TeamCity)

Working exposure to OpenShift/Docker/Container based application management

Strong hands on knowledge on Appdynamics as production monitoring tool.

Knowledge of Apache KAFKA

Worked with Agile/DevOps methodologies

Must be a Team player with excellent soft skills

Ready to work in APAC and GERMANY Shifts
