Position Overview

Job Title: BW developer

Location: Pune, India

Role Description - Summary:

The Senior Engineer designs and develops application code, implements technical solutions, and configures applications in different environments in response to business problems. To meet the requirements of the business, the Senior Engineer proposes the design and architecture of the application or its components, investigates and proposes appropriate technologies to be used, creates re-usable frameworks and drives standardisation where possible. Leads delivery of other members of the team and controls their work where applicable.

Your key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Tasks:

As an SAP BW Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

• Individual contributor role for developments in SAP BW ABAP
• Experience working with SAP BW and ABAP for BW. BW on HANA experience is a big plus
• Thorough understanding on SAP BW architecture
• Experience working with SAP BW ABAP on Routines, Transformations, DTP, OOPS ABAP, Dynamic coding techniques
• Experience on CDS views and AMDP is an added advantage
• Exposure to data load, extraction, queries, performance optimization techniques
• Understand business requirement and perform high level and low level estimation with technical solution approach
• Build and deliver projects as per the estimates
• Should have experience in Design and development in implementation projects

• Own technical delivery of individual components, working with Architects, Business Analysts etc.
• Driving continuous improvement and a high performance agile culture
• Ensure high quality standards by getting it right the first time.

As an SAP BW Developer your skills will include:

• 4 to 8 years of development across SAP BW, SAP ABAP, SAP BO & SAP BW on HANA
• Strong knowledge on SAP BW & ABAP
• Good communication and team player
• Working experience on SAP Finance related BW is preferred
• Previous experience working with data transformation and data warehouse projects
• Rigorous, resourceful, adaptable with good attention to detail and strong project ownership
• Strong configuration management skills
• Experience of SAP BW on HANA is added advantage
• SAP BW / SAP HANA certifications preferred

Education/ Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Information Systems or equivalent field preferred. Masters degree desired.
• SAP certifications are a plus.
