Role Description - Summary:

Deutsche Bank is actively renewing its digital channels and has started many strategic and challenging projects. Next to some major technological changes Deutsche Bank has decided to step into the Agile software development methodology in order to improve its agility and reduce time to market without scarifying quality.

The chapter lead is an expert and a leader in his profession, responsible for hiring, coaching, and the personal development of chapter members on their journey to mastery. He/she will lead the respective chapter members by guiding HOW to work and their professional development. The Dev Chapter lead is expert and leader for developers across multiple squads. The Dev Chapter lead will part of the IT BE Management team.

Your key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Tasks:

Hiring and ensuring the chapter members have appropriate competencies and skills

- Personal and Professional development of chapter members

- Empowering and motivating chapter members

- Define standards, guidelines and best practices for the chapter in collaboration with other chapters

- Collaborate with Architects to implement guiding rules defined at their level

- Regularly organize alignment meetings on chapter specific topics to update colleagues on new developments

Your skills and experience

Degree in Computer Science.

- +10 years of professional experience in software engineering

- Extensive experience of leading teams and guiding squads towards Tribe goals

- Experience of working in Agile/SCRUM

- Experience of SDLC procedures

- Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous integration best practices (SCM, build automation, dependency management)

- Knowledge and experience with DB used development frameworks and tools: e.g. Java/Spring, Angular

- Knowledge and experience with DevOps tools: e.g. GIT, Teamcity, Maven, SONAR, VERACODE)

- Knowledge and experience with REST architectural style

- Familiar with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working

- Familiar with tools for Agile team management: e.g. JIRA, Confluence, HP ALM)

- Leadership skills & ability to lead by example

- Good presentation skills

- Pragmatic and delivery focused

- Enthusiasm for helping others to be successful

- Excellent stakeholder management abilities in distributed multicultural teams

- Strong consultancy skills, analytical and communications skills

- Professional level of English

- Willing to travel in Belgium to facilitate collaboration and cooperation
