Position Overview

Role Description - Summary

This role is for Application Support lead responsible for maintain and support a multi-tier BI platform. The candidate is expected to work closely with Lead Software Development Manager and Platform Owner to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users. He/She should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team to design and develop software. Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• This role will be primarily responsible for supporting a BI platform on Windows environment and hence strong sense of software lifecycle is required
• Will get involved with hands-on code development for maintenance scripts
• Perform platform upgrades and compliance monitoring
• Mentor junior team members in both technical and functional front
• Participate and manage daily stand-up meetings
• Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
• This role will require 80% Technical involvement and 20% on other activities like team handling, mentoring, status reporting, year-end appraisals
• Analyse platform issues and respond in a timely manner
• Work closely with BI team in Dublin for regular support activities

Experience / Exposure

Must have

• Extensive experience in application support as SysAdmin
• Experience working with Qlik Sense and Tableau platform
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in writing Python/CMD scripts
• Strong problem solving abilities and understanding the correct solution to a platform issue
• Familiarity to Jira and ALM and experience in Agile/Scrum software development atmosphere
• Experience with BitBucket and other SDLC tools a plus
• Strong verbal communication and leadership skills
