We are responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and protecting the entire IT and operations infrastructure required to support all of the Bank's businesses. We are set up to partner with business, infrastructure and regional partners to provide quality IT platforms and market-leading client services and transaction processing.

Our teams span the globe and move over EUR 1.6tn across the Bank's platforms, support over 7,300 trading desks, and enable millions of banking transactions, share trades and emails every day.

RCA (Regulation Compliance and Anti Financial Crime) Technology
This role is for RCA domain.

RCA domain is primarily responsible for :

  • Interacting with regulators globally and understanding, interpreting and advising whole bank on regulatory adherence.
  • Responsible for managing control room function, position reporting and ensure independent validation and verification of Trading Policies, Employee compliance & Customer suitability.
  • On Anti Money Laundering and Anti Financial Crime end, this domain is responsible for client screening, Name list screening, Transaction monitoring, Suspicious Activity monitoring, Non Standard behavior monitoring, etc.

This division needs to monitor various functions on independent basis for whole bank globally, hence we deal with huge volumes on daily basis. We are looking at infusing latest technology over period of time including Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Sentiment and Sematic Analysis, etc. to build state of the art Surveillance systems for the bank.

Team:

  • This role will be part of a highly technical hands-on senior development team.
  • The team will be responsible for researching new solutions, suggesting optimal technical solutions for the various business problems, driving multiple projects from architectural front with strong technical acumen, and will be responsible for overall technology strategy and execution for the division.

Role Summary

The Senior Engineer designs and develops application code, implements technical solutions, and configures applications in different environments in response to business problems. To meet the requirements of the business, the Senior Engineer proposes the design and architecture of the application or its components, investigates and proposes appropriate technologies to be used, creates re-usable frameworks and drives standardisation where possible. Leads delivery of other members of the team and controls their work where applicable.

Role Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops source code, including descriptions, for all Software Components in accordance with Detailed Software Requirements specification, the functional design and the technical design document.
  • Defines the optimum architectures of technical solutions and leads technology teams to design, build, test and deliver high quality software solutions to meet business needs. Leads and guides designers and developers in the application of architecture best practice within their solution implementation.
  • Where applicable, helps ensure that common data architecture strategies are implemented consistently in projects and initiatives to support proper data management.
  • Contributes to problem and root cause analysis.
  • Integrates software components following the integration strategy.
  • Provides Release Deployments on non-Production Management controlled environments.
  • Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release.
  • Where applicable, manages maintenance of applications and performs technical change requests scheduled according to Release Management processes.
  • Fixes software defects/bugs, measures and analyses code for quality.
  • Collaborates with colleagues participating in other stages of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Experience/Exposure

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery.
  • Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardisation, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility.
  • Experience in IT delivery and architecture, application design and programming in a large enterprise working on mission-critical IT systems.
  • Proven history of implementing technology roadmaps and providing subject matter expertise in specific technologies.
  • Strong Java understanding with technical expertise and knowledge of below technologies

Database : Oracle 11G or higher

SDLC Tools - JAMA, JIRA, SONAR, VERCODE /JFrog, TeamCity, BitBucket, ALM etc.

  • Exposure to other technologies like UNIX, Job Scheduling (Exp: Control-M ) etc.
  • Strong understanding of Python OR R with Data analytics exposure.
  • Exposure to Big Data Hadoop, SPARX, etc. will be a plus.
  • Candidate is expected to have high desire to learn new technologies and implement various solutions in fast paced environment.
  • 14+ Years of technology experience, continuous hands-on coding exposure, along with leadership qualities like thought leadership and driving solutions on independent basis.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent) with a minor in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering.
