Key Responsibilities:

The position is in the Central Division Control Office Team.

  • Taking the lead with the WM input into the CIB Remediation process including the review of information provided by CB/IB, ensuring the information is shared in a timely manner with WM Regional Team, collating the responses from WM team and ensuring WM aggregated response are provided to the CB/IB COO teams
  • Assisting in the maintenance and development with the WM Global KYC procedures
  • Assisting (and where knowledge and experience allow - leading) the co-ordination role on key global controls (this may include RTB KYC / AML, controls)
  • Assist in designing and improving global control processes in areas of responsibility
  • Ownership of global WM control related procedures (depending on subject matter expertise)
  • Covering for other team members including supporting the collation, consolidation and quality assuring MI produced by the Regional COO Teams
  • Ensure that any sensitive issues are escalated promptly with sound analysis and recommendations
  • Developing subject matter expertise on non-financial controls within the remit of the team
  • Contribute to the development and build know-how within the team
  • Developing effective partnerships with DCO, COO colleagues & Infrastructure partners

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of non-financial risks and AML controls
  • Proven experience of working with controls processes
  • Relevant experience in the Retail Banking / Private Banking sector, preferably gained in a Wealth Management (several years of experience
  • in financial services or consultancy (with WM experience preferred but not essential))
  • Experience working on small to medium scale projects at least within a global environment
  • University degree

Competencies:

  • Very strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs; e.g. Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in pressurised situations
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to excel and proven capacity to work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and relationship skills
  • Ability to influence
  • Excellent command of the English language and German (written and spoken skills)
