Job Description

We are seeking an experienced manager to join & lead our content & creative team. Leading a team of thinkers and doers, the right creative manager will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to the position, promoting our company and that of our valued clients. We re looking for an experienced manager of people, someone that can inspire others, taking our creatives to a new level as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.

Key Responsibilities


Creative Brainstorming & Supervision
  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables.
  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with the creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges.
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences
  • Present, or oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.
  • Research and understand the client's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  • Collaborate with a team of account managers and creative staff from concept development to delivery of the final product.


Client Acquisition & Brand Building (New Pitches/ Acquisition)
  • Collaborate with the marketing and growth teams in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
  • Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
  • Coordinate with the Growth Team to create innovative marketing strategies and sample creatives for our deals.


Innovation/ Lead New Initiatives
  • While maximizing current output, what new can be done in terms of creative innovations across different channels, types of adverts, formats etc.


Creative partnerships
  • While innovating, how can we partner with different vendors like photographers, video production companies to drive new age adverts for our clients. Also how these activities can be merged with our existing delivery and ultimately contribute to increasing the organization top-line.


Team Management & Training
  • Build, lead, and review work of the creative team.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfil them.
  • Recruit graphic designers and copywriters, set objectives, train and coach, and monitor performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in conceptualizing and creating marketing/advertising campaigns.
  • Proven experience with concept development
  • Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Sheets.
