Restore Fiber as per MTTR o Ensure FRT is always ready with all equipment & vehicle in optimum running condition. o On time movement of FRT when a network failure is reported. o FRT to take shortest path to reach the network failure site. o By the time FRT arrives at the failure site, direct patrollers to the site to check what kind of fault is there? o Instruct the patroller to arrange for JCB, labour or other resources if required for the works of network restoration. o Instruct the patroller to get the fiber ready to be repaired by doing the pre works Cable to be prepared for splicing o Ensure FRT team prepares a loop during the travel time Conserve / Prevent netwrok cuts / loss o Constantly network with all authorities working in the area from where our fiber travels - Have updates / information about works that are planned on routes our network runs. o Critical Locations to be identified and team to be deployed to overlook and see that our fiber is not exposed or suffer a cut , Give support as required on these identified sites. o Preventive maintenance / Ensure basic hygiene - fiber is exposed, which can cause down time to be repaired pro actively with planned outage. o Ensure Foot Patrolling is done by the patrol riders & tracked well Every month, entire network under a patroller to be covered and report on a regular basis with pics and filling in reports. o Self Patrolling Make sure the Engineer himself patrols some part of the network on a regular basis. This creates an auditory cycle and teams know what they report can be visited by the engineer. o Ensure while self patrolling, you are meeting the team as well as Network Mitras, this helps one keep in touch with the ground realities and look at the network closely for proactive action. o Keep in touch with Network Mitra, local JCB Operators , keep talking to them. These people are helpful and resourceful incase of Natural Calamities some regions. In our experiences these people have been extremely helpful in preventing network loss as well as restoration OPEX Saving o Ensuring Aerial cable minimization so that network failures can be minimized o FRT to be maintained at all times o Tools to be maintained DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND EXPOUSRE 2 - 4 years of Network operations & maintenance engineer job / project or deployment experience in similar companies as DEPL Experience of doing the work on ground in critical / stress situation Worked with fast growing companies where a lot of ownership & responsibility is taken on the job. Basic knowledge of network like DXE, advanced NPT EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Essential Qualifications: Btech / BE (Electronics & Communication) / Diploma holder TRAININGS REQUIRED Technical Splicing OTDR Tech updates related to works
