Python Open edX Developer GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Location: GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Work Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM IST

Educational Qualifications

  • B.Tech / B.E / B.C.A prior to M.C.A

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software products as a Python Developer
  • Work with Open edX architecture, including MOOC configurations, theming, branding, and reporting
  • Build and maintain Python-based web applications using frameworks like Django
  • Integrate third-party web services, including payment gateways, streaming services, and APIs
  • Setup, enhance, and manage Open edX environments, mobile app branding, and analytics
  • Handle Xblock customization and development for Open edX
  • Develop and maintain LTI integrations, SSO setups, and other related technologies
  • Ensure secure media streaming, analytics setup, and third-party webinar services integration
  • Work with MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and other databases
  • Deploy applications in cloud environments or on-premise, with support from the DevOps team

Required Skills & Technologies

  • Strong knowledge of Python, Django, and Object-Oriented programming
  • In-depth experience with Open edX setup, theming, configuration, and enhancement
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development
  • Working knowledge of databases like MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Dev stack and Docker for development and deployment
  • Experience integrating third-party systems like BB, Discourse, and payment gateways
  • Knowledge of SAML, SSO, and other security protocols for Open edX platforms
  • Experience deploying on cloud environments and familiarity with DevOps workflows

Qualification :
B.Tech / B.E / B.C.A prior to M.C.A
